Scholarship : Masters in Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) - University of Edinburgh

GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh is launching a brand new MSc Programme in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). The first multidisciplinary course of its type anywhere in the world, this masters will provide a trend-setting educational experience for those seeking an advanced academic qualification in the field of low carbon energy production.

The Master level programme has been designed and implemented to support the emerging carbon management and renewable energy industries, which is being developed worldwide on a scale comparable to the present day oil and gas industry.

The full-time, 12 month course will offer high-level interdisciplinary skills and training in the entire value chain of CCS to students; including combustion, transport, engineering, geosciences as well as legal and ethical aspects.

Developed for graduates of engineering and geosciences related subjects, the course will fully address the new and growing requirement for engineers and geoscientists - in business, industry and government - to participate in the development of CCS schemes, equipping them with practical training and an expert skills base.
